Brussels

Brussels local hospital

If you are admitted to any hospital, please let us know by calling the Hospital Hotline on on +49 (0)521 305 3960 as soon as possible. We can provide you with patient support and ensure that medical treatment costs will be paid for (for entitled patients).

Please do not sign anything in a hospital or clinic unless you know what you are signing for. In Belgium be especially wary of any form that contains the words 'soit en chambre particulière', which means private room / treatment options. This would incur a cost that is not covered by the LLP or the BFG Health Service. If you are in any doubt at all, call the hospital hotline on +49 (0)521 305 3960.

Please don’t bring any valuables into hospital with you.

Please make sure that you do not leave your belongings on display,  while you are out of the room or in theatre, as the hospital cannot take responsibility for these items.

A lockable cupboard may be available in your room, and you can ask the nurses to look after the key while you are in theatre.
If you have any item(s) of value (monetary or sentimental) please ask a friend or relative to look after these for you, rather than leaving them in the hospital.
