Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) are qualified professionals who offer advice and support for your child's speech and language development needs. You can access SLT services in Germany via referral from your GP.
If you feel that your child needs assessment and support from the Speech and Language Therapist, please make an appointment to see your GP.
If a referral is recommended by your child's school, please request written information to take along to the GP appointment.
Your GP will assess and refer your child to the SLT if appropriate.
The Speech and Language Therapist can provide assessment and support for many different areas of concern, including:
- Social Communication Difficulties
- Language Delay
- Speech and Sound Development
- Voice Disorders
- Selective Mutism
There will be one face-to-face SLT visit to Sennelager per school term. Additional SLT services in Germany may be offered remotely via video or telephone consultation. If you are referred, the SLT will contact you to arrange an appointment. If the SLT is unable to contact you after three separate attempts, your referral will be cancelled.
